Insurance & Payment Options
What is the Cost of Therapy?
The cost of oral appliances is something that cannot be determined until our team determines your insurance benefits. Many insurance plans often require the patient to cover a portion of the cost of treatment. Sometimes pre-authorization is required before treatment can begin. You can contact your insurance company to find out what your portion of the cost will be, or we will take your insurance information over the phone and let you know before your first appointment. We also offer no interest payment plans for self-pay patients without insurance.
Medical Insurance
We will work with most medical insurers and bill them on your behalf, even though we are not in network with most insurance plans. We estimate your portion of the bill at the time of service. Once we get paid by the insurance company, we will then either bill you or refund you the difference.
Treatment Financing
We accept CareCredit as a financing option for copays, deductibles, or private pay patients. CareCredit is a third-party financier we work with, and they have helped countless patients by providing low to no interest payment plans. You can sign up for a plan through our website by clicking on the link here (https://www.carecredit.com(opens in new tab)), and you’ll never have to worry about any surprise fees or unexpected charges. Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to snoring and sleep apnea, our patients are usually filled with a lot of questions, and we’re happy to provide all the answers they need! Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions our team receives every day. Of course, if you have a question that isn’t on this page, be sure to give us a call and ask. We’re always happy to talk to you and make sure you have all the information you need.
Take the following steps to practice good sleep hygiene: Turn off all lights and music and background noises. Adjust the temperature of the room. A cold and quiet room is more conducive to sleep. Avoid self-talk that keeps your brain stimulated. Avoid large meals, caffeine, and alcohol at least four hours before bedtime. Turn off the TV and put down your phone. Dedicate your sleeping space to sleeping only, not anything else. Do your best to find a comfortable position in bed and lie still and quiet to give your body the best chance possible to fall asleep.
Sleep apnea is a disorder where a person experiences frequent and temporary lapses in breathing during sleep. These can occur because the tissues in the mouth and throat are relaxing into and blocking the airway (obstructive sleep apnea) or the brain isn’t sending the body the signal to breathe during sleep (central sleep apnea). Common symptoms include loud snoring, persistent exhaustion, and problems with mood/memory.
We recommend taking a minute to fill out our short sleep quiz here. It will show our team how likely you are to have sleep apnea. To get a proper diagnosis for sleep apnea, you’ll need to undergo a sleep study either at home or in a lab. After that, your doctor will be able to determine which treatment option is best for you.
While snoring is the most common sign of sleep apnea, it is not a definitive indicator that someone has the condition. However, snoring can still be disruptive to someone’s sleep (as well as those around them), and studies have shown that people who regularly snore are more likely to develop sleep apnea in the future. Fortunately, we can help someone stop snoring and even prevent the onset of sleep apnea by providing them with a custom-made oral appliance.
This answer really depends on the individual patient. Many find OAT to be much more comfortable than CPAP therapy because the oral appliances are small, easy to use, and make no noise. However, for patients with severe sleep apnea, CPAP therapy is often the only option. If you’re currently using a CPAP machine and are interested in seeing if OAT could be a viable alternative, we can help you find out, so give us a call today.
We will submit billing to any insurance plan, even though our office does not participate in many of them. Our team is happy to help you better understand how your benefits could be used to pay for your treatment. To learn more, contact us today.

ISS is considered one of the most common causes of daytime sleepiness and fatigue. It is also causative in patients exhibiting difficulties with memory, attention, and psychomotor performance. Determining the cause of insufficient sleep is important and can often be attributed to poor sleep hygiene. It is seen when actions do not allow the person to wind down and prepare for sleep sufficiently. It can also occur due to self-imposed sleep deprivation from working long hours, wanting to stay up to say hello to a loved one who works late at night, or from night time use of the computer, TV, streaming or video devices.
